HYPR Network Bridge Drain

~$220K drained from HYPR Network after a bridge/contract flaw let an attacker extract bridged liquidity — a small but clean bridge failure.

Date

Funds Stolen

In December 2023, HYPR Network lost approximately $220,000 through a bridge/contract flaw that let an attacker extract bridged liquidity.

What happened

A flaw in HYPR's bridge/contract logic permitted withdrawal of bridged assets without valid backing — the recurring bridge fake-mint/withdraw shape, at small scale.

Why it matters

HYPR Network is one of the smallest dedicated entries in the catalogue, included for completeness as the long tail of the bridge-fragility theme. Its value is solely to make the distribution honest: bridges fail at every scale, from $220K (HYPR) to $625M (Ronin), via the same structural class (mint/withdraw without validated lock). The catalogue's bridge entries, taken end to end, are one sentence repeated across four orders of magnitude.
